The 451 Group has acquired the Uptime Institute, including its consulting arm, Uptime Institute Professional Services. We are very excited by the additional resources made available through this acquisition. These resources will allow us to intensify our efforts to expand the Tier Program internationally and to enhance the Tier Program with additional IP, education, and services. One of the central initiatives that will now be launched with vigor is the classification of a data center’s Operational Sustainability risk factors. This initiative, among others, will benefit the data center industry worldwide.

I look forward to continuing to provide development and operations support to prospective and ongoing engagements. In addition, I will manage an intensification of our efforts to police ‘self-certifications’ in the marketplace and thereby protect the integrity of the Tier Program and its Certifications. Our accomplished support staff is fully retained. The technical team will continue to deliver onsulting engagements, Tier Certifications, Owners Advisory Committee facilitation, and educational curricula (Accredited Tier Designer) with the same professionalism and proven methodologies that have distinguished Uptime Institute Professional Services in the marketplace. Vince Renaud will serve as Managing Principal to the technical team. Pitt Turner, a recognized leader in the industry and continual presence in commercial consulting engagements, Site Uptime Network, and Symposium, will serve as Executive Director of the entire Uptime Institute.
