  • Sales Manager - Pinakes - Madrid, Spain

    Title: Sales Manager - Pinakes

    Reports to: Sales Director
    Location: Madrid, Spain

    Overview

LEET Security is the first Cybersecurity Rating Agency and manages the most reliable model to assess the level of cybersecurity implemented on services, allowing organizations to improve their preparedness and resilience and efficiently manage risks associated with supply chain.

We are an Uptime Institute Company, the Standard bearer for Digital Infrastructure performance, proprietary of the Tier Standard used in the design, construction and operations of thousands of sites in more than 114 countries.

Position Customer Success/Business Development Manager in Finance Sector

    Background:

The finance Sector is highly regulated. In 2019, the European Banking Authority published their Guidelines on Outsourcing (EBA/GL/2019/02) with obligations for the Financial Entities to carry out cybersecurity audits on their important and critical suppliers. These were followed by EIOPA and ESMA (European Insurance and Securities and Markets Authorities) with same kind of obligations. Finally, the European Commission published in December 2023, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (known as DORA) which enforces the three sectors (broadly known as Financial Entities) to carry out regular and demanding supervisory activities over their supply chain.

LEET Security has developed a methodology to facilitate these supervisory tasks, with the involvement of most of the banks in Spain, and licensed it to the Centro de Cooperación Interbancaria (CCI), who manages it under the name of Pinakes®. Most of the banks operating in Spain have already subscribed an adherence contract with CCI, to use the results of the cybersecurity audits of service providers, carried out by accredited audit companies and uploaded in the platform, as a valid system to comply with their supervisory obligations.

These can be met by simply asking their suppliers to go through the Pinakes® audit and register the results in the platform. See the informative page here: https://asociacioncci.es/pinakes

However, and being a system of free usage for the banks (included with their CCI membership), the implementation of the internal procedures to request Pinakes® audit as a standard supervisory mechanism is far from being a fact.

    Objective of the position

Foster and influence the participating entities to increase the number of service providers and audited services in the platform.

To achieve this goal, we expect a strong interaction with the various departments in the entities with responsibility in the onboarding / contracting of service providers to achieve that these include requirements for Pinakes® rating.

LEET Security’s objective is that these suppliers, at the request of their customers, demand our rating services to incorporate to the platform.

    Insurance sector / International deployment:

The incorporation of the insurance sector to the Pinakes platform has been and is currently pursued by LEET Security. As insurance companies join the Pinakes® platform, it will be a clear incentive for the suppliers to be rated. This also applies to the Securities and Markets actors.

As the regulations affect equally al the organizations for these sectors in the EU, the international extension is also an objective to be developed.

    Position:

The successful candidate must have previous relationships with a number of professionals in financial institutions, with responsibilities in supply chain risk governance, and be able to leverage them to reach the actual decision makers who can incorporate the requirements for Pinakes rating on the onboarding/contracting processes.

We expect long sales/customer relationship experience within the financial sector, with the ability to be fast on your feet to quickly get up to speed to acquire a strong knowledge of LEET Security rating methodology and involved regulation, as well as the ability to transmit that knowledge to generate confidence from the organizations. All the activity will be directly supported by the management of LEET Security.

English is required at conversational level.

    What we offer:

    • Competitive salary.
    • Agile and dynamic environment, in a company with innovative high-value services.
    • Development opportunities in an environment with great international projection.

Memorandum of Understanding

1 June 2018

Terms of use of Uptime Institute (Institute) Tier Program Intellectual Property known as:

  • Data Center Site Infrastructure Tier Standard: Topology
  • Accredited Tier Designer Technical Paper Series (inclusive)
  • Data Center Site Infrastructure Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability
  • Natural Disaster Risk Location Map

The purpose of this memorandum of understanding (MOU) is to provide terms of use of Uptime Institute's copyrighted Tier Program intellectual property, including the publications listed above. Uptime Institute provides this MOU to enable appropriate access to the Tier Program reference materials.

Over the past 20 years, Uptime Institute has reviewed hundreds of ‘self-certified’ designs and constructed environments for Tier compliance as outlined in the Institute's Tier Standard: Topology. Very few of these designs and facilities meet the desired Tier criteria upon initial assessment. (In some cases, the objective was missed dramatically.) The magnitude and frequency of such false rating claims, which result from self-assessment and misrepresentations, degrade the value to the industry of Uptime Institute's Tiers, especially those designs and constructed environments awarded Uptime Institute Certification.

As a result, Uptime Institute seeks a) to ensure that Tiers and Operational Sustainability remain a useful benchmarking system to the industry and b) to protect the value its customers receive from formal Uptime Institute assessments and Certification by taking appropriate action to protect the intellectual property inherent in its Tier Program materials from misappropriation and infringement.

Uptime Institute is the sole provider of Tiers and Operational Sustainability consultation and Certification. Only the designs and facilities listed on Uptime Institute's Web site are Uptime Institute Tier Certified. All others proclaiming a specific Tier level are considered ‘self-certified' and should be viewed with extreme caution.

As an integral part of the expanding Tier Program, Uptime Institute will continue to communicate terms of use and provide additional tools for all perspectives of the data center community. In 2009, the Tier Program announced Accredited Tier Designer, which is an educational curriculum and professional designation for licensed Professional Engineers (PEs or international equivalent). A partner curriculum and professional designation, Accredited Tier Specialist—for data center owners, operators, architects, project managers, and consultants—will be offered beginning in Q4 2010. Additionally, Uptime Institute has launched a Tier Enforcement Initiative to address directly a) infringement on the Tiers Program's copyrighted materials and b) misrepresentations of a specific site's Tier functionality. The Tier Enforcement Initiative is initiated in direct response to requests for Uptime Institute action by Network members and Tier Certification clients.

Uptime Institute's publications are protected by international copyright law. Uptime Institute requires written requests whenever Uptime Institute’s literature or portions of Uptime Institute’s literature are copied for other than personal use. Uptime Institute copyright extends to all media—paper, electronic, and video content—and includes use in other publications, internal company distribution, company websites, and handouts for seminars and courses. In addition, Uptime Institute requires formal written permission for the re-publication of its Tier Program materials. Please request formal permission per https://www.uptimeinstitute.com/publication-usage. (Uptime Institute prefers use of a url link or attached document to avoid confusion and ensure access to the correct materials.)

By clicking the 'I agree' option, I agree to the “use and distribution” requirements set forth in this document and will be able to download Uptime Institute's Tier Program materials in their entirety. Furthermore, I acknowledge receipt of this MOU dated June 1 2018, and I understand that the aforementioned documentation is copyrighted by the Uptime Institute. I agree that only Uptime Institute is permitted to use this content and criteria to perform Tier Standard Certification (Topology and Operational Sustainability) assessments and reviews, and that only the sites listed on Uptime Institute's Web site (shown below) can claim in any fashion or using any means, digital or otherwise, to be Tier Standard Certified. I understand that this acceptance does not entitle me to alter or quote from any documentation without explicit written approval from Uptime Institute. I also agree to include the next paragraph in its entirety without any changes or substitutions of any kind in all works that reference use of the Tier Standard: Topology or the Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability. This includes any facility or computing site which references the use of the “Tier Standard” on public websites and in promotional and/or training materials.

“This data center has been designed in accordance with the Uptime Institute Professional Services, Tier Standard: Topology specification, dated January 2018 which can be found at https://uptimeinstitute.com/tier-certification. The appearance of the “Tier” logo or any written or verbal reference to the use of “Tier Standard”, “Tier”, “Tier I”, “Tier II”, “Tier III, and “Tier IV” does not indicate any form of certification by Uptime Institute”.

For any service or engagement specific to, or in pursuit of, Uptime Institute Certifications, Stamps, Awards, Seals and all other service designations, the following terms and limitations apply. Any contract, purchase order, or work authorization based upon this designation is subject to the limitations set forth below.

Uptime Institute TIER-Ready will have validity period of 1 year per contracted renewal terms. Uptime Institute TIER-Ready shall reflect the pre-fabricated (prefab) or pre-designed data center solution reviewed and is awarded to a specific solution. Should an awardee attempt to apply an Uptime Institute TIER-Ready to previous or future prefab/pre-designed data center, data center(s), computer room(s), or equipment, will result in potential revocation of award, at Uptime Institute's discretion.

Due to the limited nature of the services provided, with regard to the reviewed prefab/pre-designed data center solution, Uptime Institute Professional Services expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, statutory of otherwise, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability. Further, Uptime Institute Professional Services does not represent or warrant that your design or site will be uninterrupted or without failures, errors, omissions or losses.

In no event shall Uptime Institute Professional Services be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages or lost profits, even if it has been advised of such damage, arising out of, or related to, the services provided pursuant to this award or the performance or breach thereof and Uptime Institute Professional Services’ liability shall not exceed the total amount paid to Uptime Institute Professional Services by the Client for professional services under this engagement.

The Client shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend Uptime Institute Professional Services from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, costs, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) arising out of the operation or subsequent sale, transfer or other disposition of the Client's site, facility, or assets which is the subject of the professional services, including, but not limited to, claims by customers and suppliers of the Client and acquirers of the Client’s stock or assets.

The engagement and its deliverables, including any aspects of the award, are furnished to the Client and are solely for the benefit of the Client.

All Uptime Institute awards are trademarked by Uptime Institute. Any attempt to amend shape, coloring, or content may result in revocation by Uptime Institute as its own discretion.

Uptime Institute reserves the right to revoke the TIER-Ready designation and all rights and privileges therein, if Client directly or indirectly promotes this as an alternative to Tier Certification or fails to comply with any program requirements, including but not limited to, sharing of end client contact information to solicit for Tier Certification.
